Welcome to the Phoenix Players
NODA award winning South London Amateur Dramatics Society
Following last year's successful run of The Ashes, director John Handscombe and cast have devised a new production that will take audiences on an emotional and thought-provoking journey. As the devising process is currently underway we will be sharing more details about the secrets that lie behind Hidden Stories as they come to life, so keep your eyes and ears peeled!
Hidden Stories will run from the 12th to 15th June 2019 at Emmanuel Church Hall, SE21. Tickets are £7 for Adults, and £5 Concessions and numbers are limited, so make sure to book yours now!
Following a fantastic round of auditions for Urinetown, the cast are now getting stuck in to rehearsals and are looking forward to bringing to life this satirical musical comedy. Urinetown is an epic tale of greed, corruption, love and revolution set in a time when water is worth its weight in gold.
Tickets for Urinetown are now on sale and the show will run from Wednesday 16th October to Saturday 19th October 2019 at Stanley Halls, Norwood, starting each night at 7:30pm, plus a matinee on Saturday 19th at 2:30pm which will be a relaxed performance.
Relaxed performances are perfect for those who could benefit from a more relaxed performance environment - including those with an autism spectrum condition or learning disability.
- the lights in the audience will be up so that it's not too dark
- you can make noise during the show
- you can come and go as you please
- if you need a break there are chill out areas in the foyer
- we make small changes to the lights and sound (such as taking out strobe lights) so that the performance is more accessible if you have sensory sensitivities.
We hope you share in our excitement in this new venture and should you like any further information on the relaxed performance, or accessibility at any Phoenix production, please don't hesitate to email us at email@example.com.
